- MSR Maps, formerly known as TerraServer-USA,
is Microsoft’s free, public access data store of USGS topographic maps and USGS aerial
photographs of the United States. These are now several years old and have been surpassed
in resolution by Google Maps.
- The USGS-EROS Data Center is part
of the U.S. Geological Survey's (USGS) National Mapping Division. Lots of free data.
- The USGS Geographic Data Download
page gives access to digital raster and vector topo data. Also provides a link to public
domain software and GIS utilities for use with USGS geographic data.
